Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed on his official account on the platform "X" that AC Milan has contacted Manchester City to inquire about the terms of signing Swiss defender Manuel Akanji.

Romano confirmed that Milan has not made an official offer at this moment, and that this step is part of studying available options to strengthen the defense.

He pointed out that Akanji is one of three names on the shortlist that the Italian club has prepared for signing a new center-back during the current summer transfer window.

In a related context, Romano explained that Turkish club Galatasaray has reached an agreement with Manchester City on the value of the deal, which amounts to £15 million; however, an agreement has not yet been reached with the player himself regarding personal terms.
