Wednesday 27-08-2025
Wydad Athletic Club announced in an official statement that it has signed Moroccan international Mohamed Beshwari to a four-year contract, coming from the French club Rodez, which competes in the second division, as part of the team's preparations for upcoming local and continental competitions.

The announcement confirmed what the Le360 Sport website had previously reported about a preliminary agreement between the two parties, before the official signing with the 24-year-old player, who plays as a right-back and is characterized by a clear offensive inclination.

Beshwari progressed through prestigious European football academies such as Beerschot, PSV Eindhoven, Zulte Waregem, and Anderlecht, before embarking on professional stints with Dudelange in Luxembourg, Emmen in the Netherlands, leading up to Rodez in France. During the 2024/2025 season, he achieved impressive statistics after playing 34 matches, scoring 4 goals, and providing 6 assists, which is a remarkable rate for a right-back.

The signing of Beshwari is part of Wydad's plan to restructure its defense and rely on young players with European experience, capable of rising to the challenge in local and African competitions.

The club's management expressed confidence that the player would be a strong addition to the squad, helping the team achieve its aspirations and those of its fans in the upcoming seasons.
