Barcelona midfielder Fermín López is facing a crucial decision in the coming hours, amid a strong offer from English club Chelsea to sign him before the transfer window closes.

According to 'Sport' newspaper, Chelsea has offered the player an annual salary of 15 million euros, while he currently earns only 6 million euros at Barcelona, making it an offer hard to ignore. Fermín has also received direct calls from coach Enzo Maresca, prompting him to seriously consider his future.

Chelsea has also made a bid of 58 million euros to buy the player, while Barcelona is looking to raise the amount to 70 million euros, amid coach Hans Flick's insistence on not letting him go.

Fermín, who grew up in La Masia, has recently faced tough moments after sitting on the bench in the last Levante match, despite the team's need for his offensive contributions, which affected him psychologically, leading Flick to personally console him on the sidelines.

The 21-year-old player had previously rejected offers from clubs like Manchester United, but Chelsea's offer changes the equation, especially with the transfer window closing on September 1.
