The former Italian international player Alessandro Florenzi has decided to retire from playing football permanently at the age of 34.
The veteran right-back left AC Milan this summer after his contract ended, which was the last club he played for.
Florenzi grew up at AS Roma, where he spent many years, and had loan spells with Crotone and Valencia.
In 2020, he moved to Paris Saint-Germain on loan, then returned to Roma from where he transferred to Milan.
On the international front, he played 49 matches with the Italian national team and won the UEFA European Championship in 2021.
