Ferreira Considers Involving Mohamed Awad in Egypt Cup Matches
Media figure Gamal Al-Ghandour stated that Yanic Ferreira, the coach of Zamalek, is considering involving Mohamed Awad, the team's goalkeeper, in the matches of the Egypt Cup.
He added that this comes after Ferreira relied on Mohamed Sobhi as the starting goalkeeper in league matches since the beginning of the season, while Awad remained on the bench without participation, despite his significant history with Zamalek.
He continued: "Ferreira knows well that Awad possesses extensive experience and deserves his chance in official matches, so he is seeking to give him participation in the cup to maintain his focus and enthusiasm within the team, and to avoid any tension or division in the goalkeeping file, which represents one of the most important centers of strength in Zamalek."
He added: "On the other hand, Mahdi Suleiman, the recently joined goalkeeper, is still unconvincing to the technical staff from a technical standpoint, which was clearly reflected in his exclusion from the list of the first four league matches, indicating that the current competition is limited to Sobhi and Awad."
