Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that German club Bayer Leverkusen has finalized the deal to sign Lucas Vazquez, the former right-back of Real Madrid, on a free transfer.
Romano stated via his official account on X platform that the Spanish player underwent medical examinations secretly in the past few days, and the contracts are set to be signed officially today, Tuesday.
Romano mentioned that Vazquez will sign a contract for two seasons with the German club, until the summer of 2027.
This transfer comes after the end of Vazquez's contract with Real Madrid, allowing him to embark on a new experience in the Bundesliga under the management of Ten Hag in a move aimed at strengthening the team's power this season.
