Special sources announced that the Iraqi national team management has started communicating with Uzbek club Pakhtakor to include players Zaid Tahsin and Bashar Resan in the national team during the friendly King of Thailand Cup.

The source said: "The management has closely monitored the players' situation and has coordinated with Pakhtakor to ensure their participation in the tournament," emphasizing the importance of having the players to strengthen the squad during this preparatory phase.

He added: "The Iraqi national team coach Graham Arnold has been following the players' performance closely in the past period and expressed his admiration for their technical and physical performance, confirming that they will be a significant addition to the team in the upcoming matches."

He continued: "After a comprehensive evaluation, the coaching staff officially decided to summon the players to the national team to ensure their readiness before the tournament starts, especially since the upcoming phase will witness crucial matches in the Asian playoff qualifying for the 2026 World Cup."
