Wolverhampton Rejects Newcastle's Offer for Jurgen Larsen
Monday 25-08-2025
Reports have revealed that Newcastle United has made an official offer to sign Norwegian striker Jurgen Strand Larsen, a player for Wolverhampton, during the current summer transfer window, valued at £50 million.

According to what was reported by The Athletic, Wolverhampton rejected the offer from Newcastle due to the player's significant importance in the team's attacking line, along with the limited time remaining in the transfer market, which complicates the process of signing a ready replacement to participate directly in the Premier League.

The reports indicated that Larsen has shown interest in the idea of moving to Newcastle, and despite positive talks behind the scenes, there are currently no official negotiations ongoing between the two clubs. Newcastle sees Larsen as a replacement for striker Callum Wilson, who left the team this summer after his contract expired, while Isak's future remains uncertain.

It is worth mentioning that Larsen joined Wolverhampton in the summer of 2024 on loan from Celta Vigo, before the final purchase clause was activated for €27 million last July.

He participated in 34 matches in the Premier League last season, scoring 14 goals and providing 4 assists, and his current contract with Wolverhampton extends until 2029.
