Rodrigo Requests a Transfer from Real Madrid
Monday 25-08-2025
Rodrigo made his first start of the season in the match between Real Madrid and Real Oviedo in the second round of La Liga, but he was substituted in the second half without making a significant impact, while his teammate Vinicius Junior came on and scored and assisted goals in less than half an hour.

Despite Rodrigo's desire to stay and fight for his position and convince Xabi Alonso, things changed after the Oviedo match, leading him to ask his agent to find a new club.

The player has been linked with moves to major clubs such as Liverpool, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, as well as Manchester City and Tottenham, but no deal has been finalized yet.

Rodrigo is seeking to ensure regular starting participation to catch the attention of Brazilian national team coach Carlo Ancelotti ahead of the 2026 World Cup scheduled for next summer, which has prompted him to make the decision to seek a new opportunity that guarantees him more playing time.
