A Continuous Series of Failures for Al-Nassr After Losing the Super Cup to Al-Ahli
Sunday 24-08-2025
Al-Nassr's first football team continued to suffer in finals after failing to secure the Saudi Super Cup 2025 title against Al-Ahli, adding another failure to its record in tournaments over the past three seasons.

With this loss, Al-Nassr has failed to achieve 10 titles out of 11 competitions it has competed in over the past years, settling for the Roshan League title, while losing three Super Cup finals in 2014, 2015, and 2024.

In the 2014 edition, Al-Nassr faced Al-Shabab at King Fahd International Stadium, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw before Al-Shabab secured the title through penalties. Despite this, the global team won the league and finished as runners-up in the King's Cup.

In the 2015 season, the team's performance clearly declined, as it lost the Super Cup final to Al-Hilal by a single goal, exited the AFC Champions League at the group stage, and lost the King's Cup final to Al-Ahli, finishing eighth in the league with 32 points.

In the 2024-2025 season, failures repeated, as Al-Nassr lost the Super Cup final to Al-Hilal 4-1 in Abha, then ended the league in third place, exited the AFC Champions League semi-finals, and was eliminated from the King's Cup in the Round of 16 against Al-Taawoun.
