Jordanian player Rizq Bani Hani, who plays for Al-Zawraa Iraqi club, revealed the reason that drove him to move to the Iraqi league and join the Al-Nawras for the new season 2025-26.
Bani Hani (23 years old) transferred to Al-Zawraa from Al-Hussein team in Jordan with a contract that extends until the summer of 2027, considering the Iraqi league an important step in his professional career, especially since it is a competitive league widely followed by Arab, Asian, and even European audiences.
Bani Hani stated in his remarks: "The important feature that attracted me as a player is the large audience presence at the championship matches, which gives the player motivation to deliver his best performances." He added: "Moving to a team like Al-Zawraa with its large fan base represents a great opportunity for any ambitious player. We are looking forward to a strong start in the new season and working diligently to achieve a title that satisfies the Al-Nawras fans."
Bani Hani is participating in Al-Zawraa's ongoing training in Egypt as part of the team's preparatory camp for the new season of the Iraqi Stars League and the AFC Champions League 2, and he participated in the friendly match against Dibba Al-Hisn from the UAE, which ended in a 3-3 draw.
Rizq Bani Hani is considered one of the most prominent young strikers in Jordan over the past two seasons, and he has represented the national team in several occasions during the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup, alongside his teammates at Al-Zawraa, Abdullah Naseeb and Nizar Al-Rashdan, who also joined during the current summer transfer period.
