The Appeals Committee of the Saudi Football Federation made a shocking announcement regarding the penalties related to Al-Hilal's withdrawal from the local Super Cup.

Al-Hilal apologized for not participating in the Super Cup due to the fatigue experienced by the team's players after competing in the FIFA Club World Cup, and consequently, Al-Ahli was summoned to take the place of the 'leader' as the fourth team in the Roshan League last season.

For its part, the Appeals Committee announced on Saturday evening the cancellation of the disciplinary decision, confirming that Al-Hilal violated paragraph 3 of Article 59, and thus the team was fined 500,000 riyals and considered to have lost against Al-Qadisiyah in the match that was scheduled to take place between the two teams in the Super Cup semi-finals.

The point of considering Al-Hilal as having lost against Al-Qadisiyah raised questions about the fate of the Super Cup final scheduled between Al-Nassr and Al-Ahli.

According to Saudi press sources, the Saudi Super Cup final will take place as scheduled today, Saturday, because the appeals decision is subject to challenge.
