Jesus: Ready to Face Al-Ahli and Achieve the Title
Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, the head coach of Al-Nassr, confirmed that it is difficult to compensate for the absence of Senegalese Sadio Mane in the match against Al-Ahli tomorrow in the Saudi Super Cup final at Hong Kong International Stadium.
Jesus said in statements published by Al-Yawm newspaper: "It is very difficult to compensate for the absence of Sadio Mane because he is an important player both defensively and offensively, but Al-Nassr has solutions, and I will determine his replacement during the team's training today, as I have not settled on a substitute yet."
He continued: "I trust that the majority of the fans tomorrow will support Al-Nassr, and this will be one of the factors that help the team to win. The fans will come to watch the team and Cristiano Ronaldo, and any team needs fan support because it provides an additional motivation to win."
He added: "No one in football can make promises with 100% certainty, as the chances of winning in finals are 50% for each team, but I believe in the players' abilities, and we are still at the beginning of our work with the team."
He concluded: "Al-Ahli has prepared its plan to win, and so have we at Al-Nassr, and the trophy tomorrow will be for Saudi football, and the whole world will be watching the final. We are ready to win the title."
Jesus ended his statements by saying: "I have confidence in victory and starting the season with a title, we will play tomorrow against a great team that appears stronger this season than last, but we are ready."
