Union compensates for the potential departure of Fabinho with a player from Al-Nassr

The Saudi Union Club has begun its moves to sign Portuguese player Otavio, a midfielder from Al-Nassr, to replace Brazilian Fabinho, ahead of the closure of the current summer transfer market.

Reports have revealed that the Union management is considering modifying the foreign players list after being eliminated from the semi-finals of the Saudi Super Cup, losing to Al-Nassr by two goals to one, which prompted them to act quickly.

Sources indicated that Otavio has become the first choice for the Union to compensate for Fabinho, especially since the player has fallen out of the plans of Al-Nassr's coaching staff, making him available for transfer this summer.

It is noteworthy that Al-Nassr had offered its Portuguese player for departure after he was excluded from the coach's plans, despite being under contract until next summer, which opens the door for serious negotiations.

It is worth mentioning that Otavio's name has recently been linked with other Saudi clubs like Al-Qadisiyah and Al-Dhariyah, which are active in the Yelo League, but the Union seems the most serious in moving to acquire him.
