Veteran Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matic is starting a new experience in the world of football, as he returns to play in Serie A.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano on Friday, Nemanja Matic will join Sassuolo, who are returning to Serie A, in a one-year deal.

After leaving French club Olympique Lyon, Matic accepted Sassuolo's offer because playing in Serie A has always been a firm idea in his mind, and the deal also includes an option for another season.

Matic previously played in the Serie A with AS Roma, after shining for years at Manchester United, Chelsea, and Benfica.
