The Italian club Sassuolo announced today, Thursday, the renewal of its contract with its historic star Federico Berardi for four years.

The statement read: "Sassuolo is pleased to announce the extension of Domenico Berardi's contract until June 30, 2029. Since July 2011, always in our colors, Domenico Berardi has become a symbol and a flag of Sassuolo and will now continue to wear the black and green jersey until 2029."

It added: "A champion whose career has seen him grow and establish himself at the highest levels until he became one of the most representative players of Italian football. With 400 matches, 148 goals, and 110 assists in the Sassuolo jersey, Berardi is the club's all-time top scorer, a model of talent, passion, and loyalty to the Neroverdi colors."

It concluded: "A long road ahead of us together and a long path to walk, always in black-green colors. Together until 2029, to continue writing new pages in the history of Neroverdi."
