Al-Ahli Raises Its Offer to Sign Manuel Locatelli from Juventus
Saudi Al-Ahli continues its efforts to sign Italian Manuel Locatelli, the Juventus midfielder, during the current summer transfer window, aiming to strengthen the team's squad before the new season begins.
The sports newspaper reported that Al-Ahli's management raised its offer to 35 million euros with incentives, after Juventus rejected a previous offer of 28 million euros to part ways with the player.
The newspaper clarified that Al-Ahli offered Locatelli an annual salary of up to 11 million euros, but the player rejected the offer and is waiting for the position of his Italian club, which is still holding on to him.
In case the deal for Locatelli fails, the management has placed Swiss player Denis Zakaria, the Monaco midfielder, as an alternative option to strengthen the midfield.
Locatelli joined Juventus in the summer of 2021 on loan from Sassuolo, before the club purchased his contract for 30 million euros in the summer of 2023, and he participated last season in 51 matches, scoring two goals and assisting the same number.
