The Board of Directors of Zamalek Club issued an official statement today, Thursday, in which it appealed to Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, for intervention to help the club regain the land of Zamalek Club's branch in the Sixth of October City.
The statement began: "The Board of Directors of Zamalek has made an appeal to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, as the primary supporter and advocate for national institutions and major sports entities in supporting their journey for the elevation of the nation."
It continued: "Zamalek Club hopes for the president's intervention to assist the club in regaining the land of Zamalek Club's branch in the Sixth of October City, land that represents the dream of generations of Zamalek fans, and a true refuge for building a future worthy of the club's history and its supporters."
Zamalek added in its statement: "Today, the entity of Zamalek Club, with its history extending over more than a century, stands before a crucial issue concerning the land of Zamalek Club in the Sixth of October, to complete the construction of the future that the fans of the White Castle dream of."
It further stated: "We hope that His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, whom we have known to be a strong supporter of Egyptian sports, will look with concern at Zamalek's appeal regarding the new club project, which has previously been honored to receive the approval of the presidential advisor for urban planning, granting it a two-year extension to complete the construction process ending in September 2026."
Zamalek concluded: "We trust in your justice and your commitment to uphold the truth, so that Zamalek remains always a fortress for Egyptian sports and a home for belonging."
