According to press sources, the Union management has reopened the file for contracting with Abdul Ilah Al-Amri after the end of his loan with the Jeddah club last season, following the failure to contract with Ali Al-Bulaihi, the Al-Hilal defender, this summer.

The club aims to contract with a defender based on the request of French coach Laurent Blanc to strengthen the defense line for the upcoming season.

This decision from Blanc comes amid the need for his defender Ahmed Shrahili to have additional time to regain his physical readiness after recovering from an ACL injury.

According to sources, the Union management is considering making a new offer to Al-Nasr that suits both parties in an attempt to convince the capital club to relinquish Al-Amri's services.
