Rabiot Seeks Return to Juventus After Leaving Marseille
Thursday 21-08-2025
French midfielder Adrien Rabiot aims to return to Juventus after confirming his departure from Marseille following a recent internal crisis within the team.

Marseille announced Rabiot was up for sale after a heated argument with teammate Jonathan Rowe that took place in the locker room following the loss to Rennes in the opening round of Ligue 1, which led coach Roberto De Zerbi to call for his official departure.

According to 'Football Italia', the 30-year-old Rabiot has reached out to Juventus officials to propose a return to the team, where he previously played until the summer of 2024, before leaving for free to Marseille after his contract expired.

The report clarified that Juventus is considering the idea of re-signing the player, but is currently focusing its attention on other players to strengthen the midfield, primarily Matthew O'Reilly from Brighton, who is seen as a potential replacement for Douglas Luiz, who is very close to transferring to Nottingham Forest.

Rabiot joined Marseille in September 2024 and played 31 matches across various competitions last season, scoring 10 goals and providing 6 assists, showcasing impressive performance despite the recent tensions within the French club.
