Marseille Enters Negotiations to Sign Marc Casado
Thursday 21-08-2025
According to Spanish newspaper Sport, French club Marseille has strongly entered the race to sign Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado, as a potential replacement for French star Adrien Rabiot, who is set to leave the club after being involved in a violent altercation in the locker room with teammate Jonathan Rowy.

According to the source, Marseille's management, led by Spanish Pablo Longoria, is showing significant interest in signing Casado, who is struggling with a lack of playing time at Barcelona. Although the player has not received an official notification from the club regarding his departure, indications confirm that Barcelona would be open to selling him if a suitable offer arrives.

The French club is also prepared to make an offer of €30 million, which is the figure Barcelona has set as an initial value to consider offers for the player. Reports indicate that the biggest challenge for Marseille is to convince Casado to leave Barcelona and join the French league.

It is worth noting that Casado is also attracting interest from several clubs in the Premier League, such as Wolverhampton, West Ham, and Bournemouth, which seem ready to offer the same financial amount.

Additionally, Spanish clubs Real Betis and Atletico Madrid have shown interest in the player, but their financial ability to reach this figure remains questionable at this stage of the market.

The young player is starting to realize the limited opportunities he has at Barcelona, but he is still tied to the Catalan club, making his decision to leave dependent on him personally in the coming period.
