Date of the UEFA Champions League Draw 2025/2026
UEFA has officially announced the date for the group stage draw of the UEFA Champions League for the new season 2025/2026.
UEFA confirmed in its statement that the Champions League draw will take place on August 28.
According to the new competition format, each team will play 4 home matches and 4 away matches, with the teams finishing in positions 1-8 qualifying directly for the Round of 16, while teams finishing in positions 9-24 will play home and away matches to determine 8 teams that qualify for the Round of 16.
The first round of the group stage will take place from September 16-18, ending on January 28, while the first leg of the knockout stage will be held on February 17-18, and the second leg on February 24-25.
The first leg of the Round of 16 will be held on March 10-11, while the second leg matches will be on March 17-18, and the first leg of the quarter-finals will be on April 7-8, with the second leg on April 14-15, while the first leg of the semi-finals will be on April 28-29 and the second leg on May 5-6.
It is worth noting that the final will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary.
