Newcastle United issued an official statement in response to the provocative remarks made by Swedish striker Alexander Isak on his Instagram account this evening, in which he hinted at a breakdown in his relationship with the club's management and expressed his desire to leave.

Newcastle said in their statement: "We are disappointed to learn of the post that Isak shared on social media this evening."

The club confirmed that the Swedish striker is still under a formal contract with the team: "Isak is still under contract, and no official from the club has made any commitment to allow him to leave this summer."

The statement emphasized the management's desire to retain their stars: "We want to keep our best players, but we understand that each player has their own desires, and we listen to them. However, we have made it clear to Alex and his representatives that the conditions for a sale this summer have not been met, and we do not expect them to be met."

It concluded: "Newcastle is a historic club with deep-rooted traditions, always striving to maintain a family spirit. Alexander remains a part of our family and will be welcomed back when he is ready to join his teammates."

It seems that Newcastle does not oppose Isak's departure but under the condition of receiving a financial amount that suits them, noting that reports indicate Newcastle's desire to receive £150 million to part with him.
