Al-Ahli Saudi Club Targets Signing Youssef Fofana
Reports have revealed that Al-Ahli Saudi Club has entered into negotiations with Italian club AC Milan to acquire French midfielder Youssef Fofana during the ongoing summer transfer window.
According to the website "Football Italy," intermediaries have reached out to AC Milan's management on behalf of Al-Ahli to explore the possibility of completing the deal, especially after the Saudi club's failure to sign Manuel Locatelli from Juventus and Denis Zakaria from Monaco, despite making two offers of 25 million euros for each player.
The report indicated that Al-Ahli is prepared to make a similar offer to acquire Fofana, but the completion of the deal faces two main obstacles: first, the player is considered a key element in coach Massimiliano Allegri's plans, and second, AC Milan does not need to sell any more players after generating nearly 200 million euros from sales this summer.
For his part, Fofana has expressed his desire to continue with the Rossoneri and compete for titles, which reduces the chances of his departure to the Saudi league at this time.
