The experienced Swiss defender Manuel Akanji, a player for Manchester City, has become one of the interests of the Turkish club Galatasaray during the current summer transfer window, amid the possibility of his departure from the English team this summer.

According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray has opened a direct line of communication with Manchester City to negotiate a potential deal for Akanji, and the Turkish club has also contacted the player's agent to know his opinion regarding a move to the Turkish league.

Romano clarified that Akanji has not yet made a final decision regarding his future, while his market value is around 28 million euros, which makes the deal require careful negotiations before taking any official step.

Akanji is 30 years old and excels in the center-back position, and he is contracted with Manchester City until June 2027, having joined the team in 2022 from Borussia Dortmund.
