Ahmed Fattouh, the star of Zamalek, sent an apology message to the management and fans of the club following his recent crisis.

Fattouh said via Instagram: "I extend my full apologies to our wonderful loyal fans, the esteemed board of directors, the respected sports director, and my loyal teammates for what I did against our great club and against myself."

He added: "I promise everyone that I will be worthy of your trust and know that forgiveness will not change the past after I felt bad, but it will give me a better opportunity to improve the future and compensate for what I have missed."

He continued: "I swear to you with this promise and I will exert every effort to make you happy as we are in dire need of your support, and my special thanks to the fatherly football director who has endured a lot for me."
