Adnan Darjal, the President of the Iraqi Football Association, has set conditions for the Al-Shorta team to remain at the top of the Iraqi Premier League clubs, after the team achieved significant and continuous results over the past years. This confirmation comes as part of the Association's support for the successful journey of the club, which recently won the Iraqi Premier League title for the fourth consecutive time, the eighth according to the records of the Iraqi Association, and the sixteenth according to the club's management announcement.

Darjal's visit to the Al-Shorta club headquarters was to meet with the new administrative body, where he congratulated the management on their victory in the recent elections and praised the achievements the club has made in various tournaments and previous stages, expressing his confidence in the management's ability to enhance positive results and drive the club towards further progress and excellence.

The President of the Association emphasized the importance of continuing the same approach that has brought repeated successes to the club over the past years, affirming that hard work and dedication to developing athletic and administrative performance are key to maintaining the club's status and the continuity of achievements.

For his part, the President of the Al-Shorta administrative body, Abdul Halim Fahim Al-Farhoud, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Captain Adnan Darjal for this visit, confirming that the Association's continuous support for the club strengthens the relationship and close cooperation between the two parties, contributing to achieving the goals of Iraqi football, which is witnessing continuous development thanks to the well-studied plans by the Association.

Regarding continental participation, Al-Shorta is set to represent Iraq in the AFC Champions League next season, a competition that requires a high level of technical and administrative skills, in addition to its local participations in the league and cup, as well as the Arab Champions Clubs Championship. The team will face strong competition in the tournament against clubs such as Al-Sadd, Al-Gharafa, and Al-Duhail from Qatar, and Al-Ahli, Al-Ittihad, and Al-Hilal from Saudi Arabia, along with Tractor Sazi from Iran and Nasaf from Uzbekistan, which necessitates fully preparing the team to ensure achieving the best results.

Regarding the transfer market, Al-Shorta has made several important signings to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season, including the signing of Brazilian Lucas Moses coming from Dohuk, Senegalese Dominic Mendy coming from Najaf, and Moroccan Mehdi Ashabi, who have joined the team’s training in preparation for the new season.

The management confirmed that these signings are part of its plans to strengthen various vital positions, ensuring the team's ability to compete locally and continentally, and achieving a balance between local and professional players.

According to the technical staff's follow-up, Al-Shorta will rely on a mix of veteran core players and new ones, while allowing foreign professionals to showcase their abilities within the playing philosophy set by the coach, which enhances collective performance and ensures competitive football at all levels. A group of distinguished elements stands out in the new team, which will form the backbone of the team in the upcoming season and contribute to maintaining the reputation of the club as one of the most prominent clubs in Iraq in recent years.
