Enzo Mariska, Chelsea's coach, spoke to Sky Sports following the team's match against Crystal Palace (0-0) in the first round of the Premier League.

Mariska said: "I think we created enough chances to win the match. The goal we conceded was from a free kick in the first half, but overall I am happy with the performance, especially since the opponent had played seven or eight matches before us, while we still need to play more."

The coach praised the defenders' performance, saying: "The center-backs played very well and did not give the opponent any chances. Josh Achiembong had a great performance; he is a very young player but will be an important player for this club."

He also talked about the young Brazilian star Estivão: "His personality is wonderful. It's easy to notice that he is Brazilian; they are different, and he will be a great player for Chelsea. We know what Cole Palmer brings, while Estivão needs some time to adapt, but he will be an important asset for the team."

Regarding the team's energy, he concluded: "The players showed great fighting spirit and tried until the last moment to achieve victory. Over time, we will be better. Now we need to give them some rest to regain their energy, and then we return again on Friday."
