Guardiola Sends Special Message to Ait Nouri
Spanish coach Pep Guardiola expressed his satisfaction with the level displayed by Algerian international Rayan Ait Nouri in his first appearance in the Manchester City jersey during the opening of the Premier League.
Ait Nouri started against his former team Wolverhampton, contributing to City's 4-0 victory with goals from Erling Haaland (two goals), Tijani Reinders, and Ryan Cherki.
Guardiola stated in comments to the club's official website: "Rayan Ait Nouri knows England and the Premier League well. For me, any player who plays in the Premier League is a good player, and all the signings we made this summer have shown a respectable level."
He added: "My role now is to connect all the players with each other and find the necessary coordination among them to achieve the best possible results."
Media reports have confirmed that the Algerian left-back is a candidate to be one of the future cornerstones of Manchester City, provided he commits to his defensive duties alongside his attacking tendencies.
It is worth noting that Ait Nouri joined City in the summer of 2025 from Wolverhampton in a deal worth 37 million euros, with a contract lasting until June 2030.
