Al-Ahly Requests Foreign Referees for Match Against Pyramids
Media figure Ahmed Shobair confirmed that Al-Ahly has submitted an official request to the Egyptian Football Association to bring in foreign referees to officiate their match against Pyramids.
Al-Ahly will meet Pyramids on Saturday, August 30, as part of the fifth round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Shobair stated on his radio program on "On Sport FM" that the Al-Ahly administration sent the request before the deadline set by the Football Association, to ensure the arrival of an experienced and impartial international referee team from major European leagues.
It is worth noting that Al-Ahly won the Premier League title last season for the 45th time in its history after competing with Pyramids, which finished second in the league standings.
