Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano reported via his official account on the 'X' platform that Italian club Roma has begun its communications with Manchester United to sign the Dutch left-back Tyrell Malacia during the current summer transfer window.

Romano clarified that this development came in the context of ongoing discussions between the two clubs regarding a potential deal involving Jadon Sancho, which has not yet received the green light from the player, noting that Roma took advantage of the negotiations to inquire about the terms of signing Malacia.

Malacia is considered a strong candidate to strengthen the left flank in Roma's lineup, as the Dutch player has expressed his desire to move to Serie A and experience a new challenge with the Wolves.

At the same time, Romano pointed out that there is interest from Turkish club Besiktas in signing the player, which increases the likelihood of Manchester United taking action to resolve his future in the coming days.

It is worth mentioning that Tyrell Malacia had transferred to PSV Eindhoven on loan in February 2025 until the end of last season.
