Controversial Referee Decisions in the Barcelona vs Mallorca Match
Saturday 16-08-2025
The first half of the match between Barcelona and Real Mallorca, in the opening round of La Liga, was not without some controversial referee decisions.

The controversy began early before Raphinha's goal in the seventh minute, as some images showed doubts about whether the ball had gone out for a throw-in in favor of Mallorca, but the referee did not stop the play, allowing Barcelona to take advantage of the situation and score the opening goal.

The second goal scored by Ferran Torres also sparked widespread objections, as one of the Mallorca players fell to the ground after a shot from Lamine Yamal hit his face, while his teammates stopped waiting for the referee's whistle that did not come, allowing Barcelona to continue the attack and Torres succeeded in scoring.

In the final moments of the half (45+6), Mallorca players protested the referee's decision to give Raphinha only a yellow card after a strong tackle from behind on player Muri, demanding that a red card be shown to him.

It is worth noting that the first half saw the expulsion of Mallorca players Moriki and Morlanes.
