Barcelona Targets Harry Kane to Replace Lewandowski
Saturday 16-08-2025
FC Barcelona continues its early preparations for the upcoming season, placing English star Harry Kane, Bayern Munich's striker, as a priority to compensate for the anticipated departure of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, who is expected to leave in the summer of 2026 when his contract ends.

Barcelona's management, led by Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco, aims to replicate the experience of signing a world-class striker as they did with Lewandowski in 2022. Harry Kane, 32 years old, is considered an ideal option due to his vast experience and high scoring ability, having scored 44 goals in all competitions last season.

Although Kane's contract with Bayern extends until 2027, his market value could drop to less than 50 million euros by the summer of 2026, making the deal financially feasible if the club's financial circumstances allow.

If the deal goes through, Kane would lead Barcelona's attack alongside promising players like Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, which would enhance the club's ambition to compete for titles both domestically and in Europe without the need for a lengthy transitional period.
