Bayern Munich in Talks to Sign Nkunku from Chelsea
Saturday 16-08-2025
Bayern Munich has entered into official talks to sign Chelsea winger Christopher Nkunku, in a deal that could be worth £35 million plus incentives, according to reports.

The French international played an important role with Chelsea in the FIFA Club World Cup, but his future with the team has become uncertain after being excluded from the friendly match against Bayer Leverkusen, along with six other players.

Nkunku, 27, started only 9 out of 27 matches in the English Premier League last season, and he may fall further down the attacking options following Chelsea's new signings like Jamie Götze, João Pedro, and Liam Delap.

Chelsea, for its part, does not oppose selling the player, especially as it seeks to sign Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho, and seems prepared to reduce its losses after paying £52 million to acquire Nkunku in 2023.

Bayern, which failed to sign the player last January due to Chelsea's financial demands, has returned to its pursuit after the departure of Kingsley Coman to Al Nassr and the failure of the Niklas Völkmar deal from Stuttgart.
