Officially.. Postponement of the Iraqi Super Cup

The Iraqi Football Association announced the postponement of the Super Cup competition that was scheduled for the near future, due to the involvement of several Iraqi clubs in training camps both abroad and domestically, in addition to delays in completing the formation of their teams in preparation for the start of the new football season.

Sources close to the football decision-making circles indicated that the postponement came after a series of consultations between the federation committees and the participating clubs, as it became clear that most teams have not yet reached the required level of readiness, whether in terms of physical and technical preparation or in terms of contracts with new players, which would have affected the quality of competition and the level of performance in a tournament that carries special significance like the Super Cup.

Another factor that contributed to this decision was the condition of the stadiums designated to host the tournament, as reports indicated that some stadiums are still undergoing maintenance or preparations to host official matches, making it difficult to set a fixed date without compromising the quality of the pitch or its logistical preparations.
