Iraqi Al-Zawraa Comments on Al-Nassr Clash
Ghaith Abdul Ghani, representative of Iraqi Al-Zawraa, commented on the results of the AFC Champions League 2 draw, which took place this Friday morning, confirming that Group D includes heavyweights such as Saudi Al-Nassr, Tajikistan's Istiklol, and India's Goa, making the qualification to the Round of 16 a significant challenge that requires focus and hard work from all team players.
Abdul Ghani stated in remarks to the club's media center:
"The group is balanced, and the competition will not be easy for qualification to the Round of 16. We must give our all in every match to ensure positive results."
He added: "The ambition this season is to compete in the tournament with a new spirit and different performance, and the management, coaching staff, and players aim to seriously contend for the title."
He pointed out that Al-Zawraa has recently strengthened its squad by signing Iraqi coach Abdul Ghani Shahad, in addition to notable signings, including Jordanian duo Nizar Al-Rashdan and Abdullah Nasib, which enhances the team's strength and ability to face continental challenges.
