Lille Club Strongly Enters the Race to Sign Benjamin Pavard
The French club Lille has entered serious negotiations to reclaim the French international Benjamin Pavard, a player for Inter Milan, in a deal considered one of the most prominent moves in the current summer transfer market for the club.
According to press reports, the management of Inter Milan does not oppose selling Pavard this summer, especially given the possibility of receiving an offer ranging between 15 and 25 million euros, an amount the management believes reflects the fair market value of the player, while also helping them get rid of his annual net salary of 5 million euros.
The 28-year-old French player had entered into talks with the Saudi Neom project during the summer, but no agreement was reached due to his financial demands. Additionally, Turkish club Galatasaray has also strongly entered the negotiations, considering him a priority to strengthen the right-back position.
Lille, which previously signed Olivier Giroud this summer, seeks to replicate the same step with Pavard, who played for the club between 2005 and 2016. The club's management considers signing Pavard a priority in the defense position, but they also recognize the difficulty of the deal given the strong competition.
