Former Al Ahly Star Responds to Critics of Zizo
Osama Hosny, the former star of Al Ahly, responded to critics of Ahmed Sayed Zizo's performance as a player for Al Ahly.
Zizo assisted in two goals for his team against Modern Sport in the first round of the Egyptian Premier League, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
Osama Hosny said via MBC Masr channel: "People underestimate Zizo's role with Al Ahly, and they say what does it mean that he assisted two goals; he scored two goals. The answer is that he used to do this role with Zamalek, and people used to sing his praises. He is a big signing and came for free, costing the club no money, and is a gain for Al Ahly."
He added: "The league is still long, and what matters now is who laughs in the end, not at the beginning."
