Sky Germany has revealed that Bayern Munich has entered into direct talks with Chelsea regarding the signing of French star Christopher Nkunku during the current summer transfer window.

According to the report, the player has shown openness to a move to Bayern Munich, especially since a previous agreement was reached between the Bavarian club and Nkunku since last January.

Although Nkunku is considered an important target for the Bavarian club's management, the club is still exploring other options in the market. Meanwhile, Chelsea is actively seeking to sell the 27-year-old player, while Bayern Munich prefers to sign him on loan.

For his part, Bayern Munich's sporting director, Max Eberl, values Nkunku's technical flexibility, as he can play as a striker, playmaker, and on the wings. So far, there is no final agreement between the two parties, but Bayern Munich has started to move seriously towards completing the deal.
