Spanish newspaper "Marca" reported that Atletico Madrid has shown interest in signing Japanese star Takefusa Kubo, a player for Real Sociedad, during the current transfer window to strengthen its squad.

According to the report, Kubo's release clause is set at 60 million euros, and if Atletico decides to pay it, Real Madrid will receive 30 million euros from the deal, as they retain a percentage of the player's rights.

This interest comes as Atletico seeks to enhance its attacking line with players who possess speed and skill, while Real Madrid monitors the situation to financially benefit from any potential deal.

This summer, Atletico Madrid signed Clement Lenglet, Juan Musso, Matteo Rogeri, Alex Pania, Joni Cardoso, Thiago Almada, Marc Pobell, David Hanko, and Giacomo Raspadori for a total of 175 million euros.
