Football Italia revealed that Napoli is making tangible progress to sign former player Elif Elmas from German club Leipzig.

Napoli is looking to strengthen its attack for the upcoming season and is currently focusing on re-signing Elmas, who moved to Leipzig for around 25 million euros in January 2024.

The Macedonian winger prefers to return to Napoli this summer, a deal that Antonio Conte is eagerly awaiting to bolster the team's ranks.

Negotiations between the two clubs are expected to continue in the coming days with the aim of reaching an official agreement, despite Leipzig's management being cautious about the idea of loaning the player for now.

Elmas is currently training separately in Germany and is awaiting developments from Napoli, which has led him to postpone decisions regarding other offers, including one from Torino, where he spent a loan during the second half of the 2024/2025 season.
