Before the Start of the New Season: AI Predictions for the French League

The new season of the French league will kick off next Friday, August 15, 2025, marking the beginning of a new race in one of the strongest leagues in the five major European leagues.

Before the start of the tournament, the "Opta" statistics network revealed its predictions for the ranking of clubs at the end of the season, using artificial intelligence, through conducting 10,000 simulations based on team data analysis.

Paris Saint-Germain, the defending champion, topped the predictions with a winning percentage of 78.7%, making it the strongest candidate to retain the title.

On the other hand, the report predicted that Nantes, which includes Egyptian striker Mostafa Mohamed, will struggle to remain in the league, with relegation probabilities ranging between 8.7% and 10.2%, along with expectations of a central position not exceeding 13th out of 18 teams.

As for Nice, which includes Egyptian professional Mohamed Abdelmonem, it was ranked sixth in the predictions, with a weak relegation probability not exceeding 1.9%, and a chance to win the title of 1.1%.

The ranking of teams predicted to win the French league title 2025/2026 according to Opta's predictions:

Paris Saint-Germain: 78.7%.

Lille: 5.5%.

Monaco: 4.2%.

Marseille: 3.4%.

Lyon: 3.4%.

Nice: 1.1%.

Strasbourg: 1.1%.
