Reliable journalist David Ornstein reported that Italian club Roma is in talks with English club Aston Villa regarding the signing of Jamaican winger Leon Bailey, who is 28 years old.
Ornstein confirmed via his official account on X platform that Roma has not made any official offer yet, but the Italian club's efforts seem serious, considering them among the top contenders for his signature.
Ornstein also noted that Bailey is attracting interest from clubs in the Saudi Pro League, as well as clubs in the Turkish league, including Besiktas, which could open the door for competition for the player's services in the upcoming period.
Bailey has played 144 matches with Aston Villa across all competitions, scoring 22 goals and providing 24 assists.
