Reports from 'Football Italia' reveal that English club Liverpool is nearing the finalization of a deal to sign young Italian defender Giovanni Leoni, an 18-year-old player from Parma, following his remarkable performance in Serie A last season.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Liverpool is very close to reaching a final agreement with Parma for €34.75 million, while Parma is still insisting on a price of €40 million, which is considered high for both Inter Milan and AC Milan.
Reports indicate that AC Milan has turned to signing defender Koni De Winter from Genoa as a more cost-effective alternative, while Inter Milan is focusing on acquiring Atalanta striker Ademola Lookman during the current transfer market.
