The Truth About Mitrovic's Offer to Al-Shabab Management
The future of Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, a player for Al-Hilal, has generated considerable debate in the current summer transfer market, especially following the arrival of Uruguayan Darwin Nunez to the team from Liverpool. Al-Arabia FM reported that Mitrovic was offered to Al-Shabab, and the lions' management expressed willingness to cover 75% of the player's salary in exchange for his acquisition, but the matter has not been officially resolved. In contrast, a source within Al-Hilal denied these reports, confirming in a statement to Al-Youm newspaper that Mitrovic has not been offered to Al-Shabab in the past period, and that the player is continuing his rehabilitation program while awaiting a decision from Italian coach Simone Inzaghi regarding his future. Mitrovic joined Al-Hilal in the summer of 2023 from Fulham with a contract extending until 2026, during which he participated in 79 matches, scoring 68 goals and providing 15 assists. The decision on whether the player stays or leaves depends on the new coaching staff's perspective, amid Al-Hilal's desire to maintain the strength of its attacking line at the start of the new season.
