Wydad Athletic Club Finalizes Contract with Lorch from Sundowns
Wydad Athletic Club has reached a final agreement with the South African club Sundowns for the transfer of left winger Thembinkosi Lorch to the red team permanently, after a loan period that began last January.
The deal came after tri-party negotiations between the concerned parties, allowing Wydad to retain the player's services, who participated with the team in the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, before the end of his loan contract and the search for a new destination away from Sundowns, leading him to decide to return to the red fortress.
Lorch is expected to join the group in the coming days to complete the official signing and engage in preparations for the upcoming football season.
Lorch played 17 matches for Wydad during the second half of last season, scoring 3 goals, including one against Juventus during the group stage of the Club World Cup, in a match that ended with the Italian team winning 4-1.
