Sources close to FC Barcelona revealed that a heated altercation took place between midfielders Gavi and Fermín López, which nearly escalated into a physical confrontation, before those present in the locker room intervened to resolve the dispute and prevent the situation from escalating.

According to what was reported by the Catalan newspaper "Sport", Gavi later approached Alejandro Echevarría, a powerful figure in the club, to explain what had happened, and requested to place Fermín on the summer transfer list.

The source added that Gavi's request reached Fermín, which is the reason behind Fermín posting the famous message on his Instagram account, before later deleting it.

In his message posted on Instagram, Fermín said: "The wicked never win, nor do those who look the other way, nor those who make betrayal a way of life and cowardice their banner. It's only a matter of time. They lose every day because the mask they wear every morning fades sooner or later, revealing their true selves to the world."

Media reports claimed that the dispute between Gavi and Fermín arises from the incompatibility between their girlfriends, which led to tension between the players inside the locker room of the Catalan club.
