Media personality Saif Zahir revealed details of his conversation with Mohamed El-Shennawy, the Al-Ahly goalkeeper, following the Modern Sport match.

Mohamed El-Shennawy did not participate in the Modern Sport match, which ended in a 2-2 draw in the first round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Saif Zahir said on his program on ON Sport channel: "El-Shennawy told me, 'You have known me for years, Captain Saif, and you called me on the phone before; did I give you any information? Did you hear that I talked about something or leaked information before? When I received offers three times what I earn at Al-Ahly, did I tell you?" He said no.

He added: "El-Shennawy told me, 'I don’t talk and I won’t talk about anything regarding Al-Ahly. There have been no negotiations between me and Pyramids, nor with Zamalek. I renewed my contract with Al-Ahly recently.'

Zahir continued: "El-Shennawy said verbatim, 'If Al-Ahly wants to sell me, they can sell me; if they don’t want to sell me, then I will continue, and I won’t say more than that.'
