Newcastle United has joined the list of clubs interested in signing Moroccan international Bilal Khannous, a midfielder for Leicester City, during the ongoing summer transfer window, benefiting from a penalty clause in his contract.

According to journalist Jon Percy in the English Telegraph, Khannous is attracting the interest of several clubs in the Premier League, most notably Leeds United, signaling strong competition for his services in the coming weeks.

Khannous excelled in the opening of the English Championship, contributing to Leicester City's victory over Sheffield Wednesday with a score of two goals to one, providing two crucial assists; the first to his teammate Westergaard in the 54th minute, and the second to Vardy in the 87th minute.

Thanks to his outstanding performance, the Moroccan star received a rating of 8.2 from the 'Sofascore' platform and secured a spot in the ideal lineup of the opening round of the English first division.
