The Spanish Football League has submitted a request to the Spanish Federation to hold the Villarreal vs. Barcelona match in the United States.
According to reports from the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, the federation will meet tomorrow, Monday, to express its approval or disapproval.
As the newspaper pointed out, if the federation approves, the matter will be raised to UEFA, which must also give its approval.
The match, which is scheduled to be moved to Miami, will be in Round 17 of La Liga on December 20, and it is a home game for Villarreal.
